After nearly two decades of silence, Justin will speak on the infamous Super Bowl moment that occurred alongside Janet.

According to Page Six, the singer will appear in Janet’s Lifetime/A&E documentary, which is due to premiere on Friday.

A source familiar with production told the outlet: “Justin is in it.

“I was told he’s is going to be in the documentary. It’s like this big secret.

“He’s the surprise, just like the Super Bowl.”

Janet famously brought Justin out during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, which is when the incident occurred.

The pair performed “Rock Your Body to end the show.

During the song, Justin tore off a part of Janet’s top, exposing her breast as he sang: “I’ll have you naked by the end of this song.”

The incident famously had a negative effect on Janet’s career, effectively tanking it while Justin’s star rose.

Justin does not appear in promos for the documentary.

Other stars – namely Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Samuel L. Jackson – did make appearances.

SHOW TIME

The documentary, titled Janet, will span more than two hours.

It will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Janet’s self-titled debut album, which came out in 1982.

Fans will get to see Janet discuss the Super Bowl performance, among other things.

The doc will also see Janet discuss her brother, Michael Jackson, and his death, as well as becoming a mother, and the death of her dad, Joseph.

A&E and Lifetime have described the documentary as “an intimate, honest and unfiltered look at her untold story.”

Janet’s friends will speak about her, and fans will be treated to never-before-seen photos and videos.

A&E said of the film: “Janet has enjoyed immense success but also seen incredible tragedy.

“She has endured tumultuous private life in the face of extraordinary public scrutiny.

“With no stone left unturned, JANET lifts the lid on her private life for the very first time and revealed the most intimate moments of the star ever caught on camera.”

HIT PAUSE

Justin reportedly had a musical comeback planned, but decided to hold off out of fear of how the documentary might impact his return.

The singer has apologized to Janet, but still fears it could wreak havoc on his career.

He famously apologized to Britney and Janet in early 2021, but fans weren’t so eager to forgive and forget.

Justin said in his apology that he was “deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right.”

He added: “I understand I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefitted from a system that condones misogyny and racism.”

His apology came amid the release of the Hulu and FX documentary, Framing Britney Spears.

The doc revisited Justin’s handling of his split from the singer, including his very public claims that the pair had sex.

Justin implied after their split that Britney cheated on him.

After the documentary aired, fans demanded an apology from Justin.

He addressed Britney and Janet in his message, saying: “I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women I know I failed.

“Because of my ignorance, I didn’t recognize it for all that it was while it was happening in my own life but I do not want to ever benefit from others being pulled down again.”
