ACTRESS Betty White would have turned 100 years old on January 17, 2022, but tragically passed away just weeks before on December 31, 2021.

Despite her death, Betty White: 100 Years Young A Birthday Celebration was still released to hundreds of theaters across the United States on her birthday in honor of her career which dates back to 1945.

The film, directed by Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein, follows White throughout her days, including behind-the-scenes on productions, working with her office staff, entertaining at home, contributing her voice as an animal advocate, and transporting viewers to her actual birthday party.

Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Valerie Bertinelli, James Corden, Wendy Malick, and Jennifer Love Hewitt are among the big-name cast of friends who were seen in the production.

The movie focuses on major milestones in White’s long career, including her roles in The Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland, The Proposal, hosting Saturday Night Live, and a remarkable lost episode from her sitcom days.

White had an estimated net worth of $75million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The actress had a long and famous career as one of the great pioneers of the entertainment industry. With a career spanning more than eight decades, she was the longest-serving television entertainer of all time. 

She also had success in the film industry, demonstrating her variety and versatility over the course of her illustrious career.

How did Betty White die?

It was announced on December 31, 2021, that White had passed away at 99 years old.

Her cause of death was later revealed to be caused by a stroke that happened six days prior.

It is unclear how the stroke affected the actress and whether she was conscious and alert before she died.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” her longtime agent Jeff Witjas said in a statement following her passing.

“I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much.

“I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden,” he continued. “She believed she would be with him again.”
